Through ConvergenciaShow.MX 2019, the Mexico City World Trade Center once again brings together the network operators, pay TV licensees, telecommunications, DTH, regulators and content, programming and technology providers from Latin America, particularly from Mexico.
From July 8th to 11th, the forums within the show will be opened, with live transmission of all the conferences through ConvergenciaShow.Mx website and its Facebook page, where interesting and relevant topics of the sector will be discussed, such as the new challenges of OTT, the next implementation of 5G and the evolution of the networks, as well as the next challenges of the Industry. These conferences and panels will be joined by workshops and a 5000 square meter commercial exhibition, where the companies will showcase great news, among which the presentation of new signals such as Songie TV and BitMe.
With a new format of four days, the initial day will be dedicated to women in the sector where the training workshop “Women in Convergence” will be held by Mtra. Elizabeth Peña Jáuregui, and will be followed by the conference “Women’s Leadership in the Industry”, where Ana de Saracho O’Brien, Director of Regulation at Telefónica; Guadalupe Rincón, Director of El Financiero TV; Fidela Navarro, CEO of DOPAMINE will speak; Elizabeth Jáuregui, Specialist in Telecommunications, Regulation and Public Policy; Fernanda Merodio, President of WITC Mexico Women in Media, and Andrea Escobedo Lastiri, Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion of CANIETI and VP at IBM, and will be moderated by Guadalupe Michaca.
On the second day, the show will have its opening ceremony, which will be attended by industry executives and public officials such as Salma Jalife Villalón, Undersecretary of Communications and Technological Development of the Ministry of Communications and Transport; Gabriel Contreras Saldívar, Commissioner President IFT; Mónica Aspe Bernal, VP Telecom Canieti; Miguel Calderón Lelo de Larrea, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Institutional Relations of Telefónica, and Dr. Gabriel Székely, Director General of ANATEL.
This will give way to the opening of a large commercial exhibition, where visitors will be able to access the programmers’ content previews, with the presentation of the family channel Songie TV and the new one from Televisa Networks that focuses on video games and geek culture, BitMe. In addition, there will be all the programming advances from networks such as Azteca TV, Turner, Mileno TV, TeleUno, RTVE, DW, RFI/France 24, Zee Mundo, Stingray and the ATIM signal, Xti TV, among others.
There will also be demonstrations of new equipment, services and the latest technological advances in software, among other topics of interest. From this segment, SES, Comcast, Condumex, Non Stop, Promptlink, Fibrastore, Simplemente and Rincon Technology, among others, will participate in the trade show.
Among the outstanding forums of the event will be the traditional news channels in this case “in front of the new model of Government Communication”, where Guadalupe Rincón (Bloomberg), Arturo González (Telefórmula), Luciano Pascoe (ADN 40) and Héctor Zamarrón (Milenio TV) will speak; as well as approaching the new trends with “OTT: Challenges and Opportunities”, with the participation of Joe Fregoso (Mediagenix), Alejandro Rojas (Parrot Analytics) and Alonso García Puentes (Schutterstock).
Also those focused on new technologies such as IZZI with “The evolution of the business of wired networks”, where Israel Madiedo, Director of Innovation and Technology, will speak. And also “The 5G way, let’s make it happen” which will be presented by Huawei and another “5G When, Where and What for”, where Miguel Calderón Lelo de Larrea (Telefónica), Gerardo Soria Gutiérrez, Mario Germán Fromow Rangel (IFT), the panel “Contents, digital innovation and technological standards” or “La cobertura rezagada”, Dr. Gerardo Soria Gutiérrez, will be speaking. While different training workshops will be held, during the last three days there will be outstanding forums. It is worth mentioning that in its fourth edition, Convergencia Show.Mx expects an attendance of more than 2,000 decision makers, both national and international, after last year’s edition ended with a call for 2,800 visitors.
